Calling All Geeks

I need a new lap top, or at least major brain surgery on my current lap top.

I have been having issues with little Roxy (that is my pc's name) for a while now. Mostly it is my internet connection that never works, and I don't know why or I would call the cable company or who ever is in charge of those things. Also, it runs so slow. I know I have to reformat it, but I am currently having a really long brain fart and I don't know where I put my back up discs...and besides the whole idea of reformatting it scares me (what is wrong with me?) Also, and this is the worst, my screen has like 1000 white lines running down the screen, I can still see for the most part, but it is so annoying and it is getting worse.

I am sure that most of these things (if not all) can be easily fixed...but I would rather just start over from scratch. So, what kind of computer should I get? Jason is a Toshiba freak, I want an Apple or a Sony Vaio....hmmmm, what to do.

Check craigslist.org - we have found tons of really cheap laptops on there.

A few times we have gotten a MAJOR discount because one of the keys stick or something - easy fixes for Robert...

We have had toshiba's, Vaio's, HP, and others through here - not many Apple's though, Robert doesn't like them.

Definitely just get a new one. I am getting a Mac next time so that is what I would go with. I always hear the switch is a little strange at first then its awesome.

Macs are great but more expensive, plus not everything is compatible with Macs........kinda like linux, but both are much more stable then Windows. I bet all your problems will go away once you format and reinstall. If you don't go with a mac, go with HP. Trust me with someone that has had to deal with many lap tops. Dells have issues with power cords and I have blown out 3 mother boards on dells. Toshieba is ok but we have had issues with video cards, though it was an older one. Pretty much everything is built shitty these days, but HP has excellent warranties, customer service and tech support. I just know Jake loves them. Me I still deal with dell. But Jake has an awesome HP and he has had a couple, because he use to get a new one every year at work. Seriously in Jake and I's 7 years of marriage we have had at least 12 lap tops, maybe more... So I say HP if not a Mac.
