It is one of my goals in life to visit all 50 states,
and during our road trip back east we made it to 18!
It helps that we started out in Hawaii :)
We took trains, and flew in an airplane (over the ocean), and we drove drove drove.

We visited;
Hawaii, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virgina.
(Since we've been in Virginia, I took the kids to North Carolina...so up to 19.)
Half way through the trip I came up with the idea to take a picture with the kids at every border crossing sign. As a child I loved the different states signs, and the concept of some giant invisible line dividing all the states. I've always been kinda nerdy I guess.
New Mexico
Can you believe how good and still they were standing?!
Hot hot Arizona!
Even hotter Nevada.
Home Sweet Home, Utah.
Boring Wyoming.
I liked driving through this state the very least, it was so long.
Green Nebraska.
Corny Iowa.
I loved seeing all the fields and fields of corn, it was beautiful in its own way.
Jason and I wanted to be corn farmers, with our own little farm house, for the day.
Rainy Illinois.
It rained so much, I swear we swam through most of the state.
Indiana, the state with all the booked hotels.
We had to stop 5 different times until we could find a place to stay for the night, and again so much rain.
Nostalgic Ohio.
I have so many good and bad memories of the short time I lived here (1998-99).
Oh, PA, how we love you.
New York, my home sweet home, in another life.
This time around I learned how much I loved the rest of the state, not just the city.
New Jersey. Um....you have too much traffic.
We missed a few states, either because I fell asleep, or the traffic was too bad to try and pull over.
(But we will get them next time around.)
(But we will get them next time around.)
I hope to continue this tradition, and knock out a few more states during our stay here on the east coast.
(One awesome thing about being on the east coast again, we are so close to everything.)
Someday I hope to have all 50 pictures with our family!
