Set in the 1300's, the book follows Prince Edward Plantagenet of Wales and his quest to marry Joan of Kent.  I found that the book dragged on in most places, and even though I liked the story well enough, I did not like the way it was told.  I probably won't read anything else by Karen Harper...unless I am desperate.
