Ada Pryce is a rebel, a modern women stuck in Victorian Boston during the 1890's.  Stuck in a loveless, controlling marriage and bored with her expected role in the house hold she longs for a way out.  I liked the story, and the more I read the better it got.  But the sexual content was a bit much for me.  And although I identified with the character some, I found her and the book frustrating.
