6 months and counting...

Harry is 6 months old already...and I can't hardly believe how fast the time has gone by.
He is 25 pounds of solid, chunky baby fat.  He has got rolls on his rolls.  You can't help but be filled with joy when you see him, he oozes cutest.  I love to hug and cuddle him.  He is the best 2nd baby I could ever ask for.  He is all smiles and loves.  He never cries unless he is hungry or hurt. He sleeps ALL through the night (Clark still does not do that).  He is just happy and content to do whatever you want, as long as he has something to chew and slobber on.  Where Clark has so much of Jason's personality traits, Harry has mine.  He is quiet, reserved, and a little shy, but once he gets to know you and likes you he is all fun and games.  He lets you into his tender little heart.  He gives the best little loves...he will squish his little face against yours as hard as he can, and nuzzle himself in your neck, it is so sweet.
He finally has got his first little tooth, and likes to bite me with it.  He still can't roll over (I think he get high centered on his tummy), and he is working so hard on his crawling.  He can scoot himself backwards across the carpet, and sits up very well on his own.  He still dose not like to eat his baby foods.  We have tried applesauce, bananas, oatmeal, rice cereal and mashed potatoes in all sorts of consistency and textures...and he just will NOT eat.  He spits it out, gags on it, and even clamps his mouth shut to prevent me from putting anything in.  He is a stubborn little chunk, but we will work on it some more.
I am just so happy with him.  I feel so blessed to have such a good baby.  I really couldn't love him anymore than I do...but I am sure I will.

Laura's Bridal Shower

Laura is getting married, GETTING MARRIED!  I can hardly believe it some days, but I am so happy and excited.  Harry and I flew home to Utah last weekend to help with the preparations, and spend some time with family before the BIG day.  With left Jason and Clark at home (since our last trip was so stressful on Clark and our bank account)...but they are sorely missed.

Emma and I threw a bridal shower for Laura.  With all the cold weather, and Laura's love of Hawaii, we decided to make it Hawaiian themed.  The house got a makeover, thanks to the left over decorations from mine and Jason's Hawaiian themed wedding reception.
Laura dressed up in a coconut bra and grass skirt, she is looking adorable and ready to become the next Mrs. Pace.
Food glorious food!  Cody (Williams, my brother in-law) made some crazy delicious Kalua pork, and we had tons of rice, pineapple and cupcakes.  Definitely my favorite part of the party.
Laura opening her presents.  She makes the best faces.  I had strict orders not to put up any of the embarrassing lingerie pictures (we made her try them on...with all her clothes still on of-course).
Emma with little Reese.  I can't get over how exactly alike they look sometimes.  She is the cutest little nugget I have ever seen....Emma to0.

Laura and her adorable friends.  She has the nicest friends, I just love them and how great they are to her.  I am so glad I could come home and help throw this wedding shower for Laura.  I had such a great time, and I am really looking forward to watching Laura take this next step in her life.  She has been such a great friend, sister and example to me, I couldn't be any happier for her.

Bubbles

Clark loves to play with bubbles, loves it!  He laughs and giggles, and jumps around like a lunatic.  You can always tell when they are playing bubbles in the nursery (at church) cause you can hears Clark's shrieks of joy all the way down the hallway.  The other night Jay was blowing bubbles outside for Clark, and the neighbor's dog decided to play along.  Clark thought it was hilarious that Tymoni was trying to catch the bubbles as well, by biting them with his teeth.  He has the best infectious giggle.  You can't help but feeling so happy when you hear it.

Kill Me

Kill Me by Stephen White

If you thought you were going to die a long, painful debilitating death...would you find a way to die sooner?  That is basically what this books is about, assisted suicide.  A group of hired assassins who kill their clients, before they reach the point in their illness when they can no longer Live life to it fullest.  But do some make the decision too soon...

Besides the morbid theme of the book, which I am not sure I agree with, I found the book very entertaining.  The writing was fast paced, and compelling.  I breezed right through it, and some nights did not want to put it down.  The characters were well written, like-able, and a little  screwed up (which always makes for good reading).  I loved the way the author put the story together, a little backwards and from two different point of views.  It kept the story interesting, and mysterious.

Overall... great read, decent book.  I would definitely try this author again.

Flashback Friday

(And to tell the truth, it is actually Flashback Saturday night)
No cute little picture this week remembering the olden days, cause I just had no time to find one to put on my computer.  You know, I am remember a time when I actually got to do things I wanted to do.  When I slept until I wasn't tired, ate my food when I was hungry...and did not have boogers, peanut butter, or baby spit up all over my clothes.  I remember when I got to buy new clothes, and not cause I got fatter or cause I was pregnant...but cause it was just a cute outfit.  I remember when I could go days, almost a week, without doing laundry...now it is one or two loads a day.  I remember when Jason and I would go to the movies every weekend (sometimes twice a weekend) and we even had the money to afford it.  I remember being able to walk to the bathroom on the middle of the night, and not having to worry if I was going to break my ankle tripping over a million toys.  I remember not having to worry about gas or grocery money, and spending $50 on dvds just cause we could (such a waste).  I remember staying up all night with Jason talking, and playing games...instead of bickering and falling asleep at 10:30.  I remember doing my hair and make-up everyday, and going out.  Life was so easy before, so quiet, so peaceful...my house was so clean.  I really could go on and on about all my life before kids memories...but I am going to have to get up in a couple hours and I am tired.
That life sounds like such a fantasy now... and even if I could have it again, I wouldn't want it!  Even though my house was clean, and there was money in the bank, and it would seem like we had everything...something was missing.  And now we are complete.  Poorer, tired-er, dirtier...but HAPPIER!  I wouldn't trade my little boys for all the sleep, money or anything in the world.  And that is the TRUTH.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary by Raymond Khoury

Just okay.
The story was okay, the writing was okay, the characters were okay.  Blah.  There was just nothing spectacular.  The whole time I was reading this book, I really just wanted to be reading something else (preferably with sexy Scottish Highlanders).

Laura's Bridal Pictures

Laura got her bridal pictures taken this past weekend, and they turned out so amazingly beautiful!  It didn't hurt that her and Jamin are the cutest.  Anyway, you can check them out at this BLOG!

Happy Birthday Jay!

Look what 25 years can do (we are guessing Jay was 8 in this picture?).  This is one of my favorite pictures of little Jason.  He still has that same exact smile.
Jason took last Wednesday off of work to celebrate his 33rd birthday with his favorite person, ME!  We spent the day together as a family, hanging around the house watching cartoons, going to Cold Stone for ice cream (we tried their new ice cream cupcakes, yum-o), and going to town for dinner and shopping.  Just a wonderful day with the family.  Jason wanted to eat at the Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant, and despite the kids melt downs and the drink Clark spilt in my purse, it was a lovely meal.  He got a new wedding band for his birthday, since his ring broke years ago, and had fun picking it out.
The thing I love the most about Jay is, he could've chosen anything to do that day, but all he wanted was to be with me and the boys having quality time (and of-course consuming large amounts of food).  Jason is such a great dad, he always wants the best for the boys, and will do anything for them.  He works so hard for our family, always taking some course or class to further his career and better himself.  He is so kind, and forgiving...always looking for the best in people.  Even though I never show it, I feel so blessed to have found him as my companion.  He always treats me with love and patience, regardless of my sassy mouth (believe it or not I can be quite a beast to live with).  And he reminds me to laugh, even when I don't want to.  He brings so much laughter into our home.  The boys love to play with him, and he is always willing to throw a ball, build a tower or chase the cat with Clark.  We are so lucky to have him, and I pray for many more happy birthdays.
Blowing out his birthday match?  Dork that I am, I forgot to get some candles.

This just in...

Harry is fat. Okay not fat, but oh so plumpy.  Over the weekend I went through his clothes to pack away everything that was too small, which turned out to be everything.  So off to the mall to by some pajamas and pants.  Do you want to guess what size we had to by him....12 months!  I couldn't believe it, the shorts and pants are a little long, but it is the only size that would fit over his chunky thighs.  Harry is going to be six months in about two weeks, who would have thought that he would be wearing the clothes Clark did just a few months ago.  He is just the cutest thing around, and growing up way too fast.
Also, we moved Clark to a big boy bed.  We took the frame off our guest bed (that we kept in the boys room) to lower it closer to the ground, so it wouldn't hurt too much if he fell out.  We also let him pick out some new sheets for the bed, which of -course turned out to be a cute   Wall-E set.  We spent all day Saturday setting up, he was so excited and kept jumping on the bed.  We were not looking forward to the sleepless nights ahead, trying to keep him in his bed.  Imagine our surprise and delight when we put him to bed that night...he crawled in all by himself, and stayed in bed ALL night long.  We couldn't take our eyes off the hallway and kept waiting for him to come back out, but he never did.  It must have been a fluke right...nope, he loves his new bed.  Every night he gets in all by himself and stays there, even during nap time I don't have to fight him to lay down and rest.  I am thrilled this was such an easy transition.  I am not naive, I am sure we have plenty of night time battles up ahead...but we are ready.  I can't believe how much he is growing up...

Flashback Friday

Two years ago today, March 6 2007.  Little Clark was about 4 weeks old, and my Mom and Dad were out visiting.  As a treat for my parents 50th birthdays (only about 1 month apart from each other) Jason and I took them to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie to take in a luau, and watch the Horizons Show (put on the the BYU-Hawaii students...very good!).  It was our first all day, big outing with Clark.  He was still so little that he got so much attention.  It was such a fun day, and a great way to celebrate.  I couldn't find any of the pictures with my parents...bah.

Jason and Clark.  He was oh so tiny...his clothes wear barely staying on (Harry actually could never fit in these shorts).
April and Clark.  I went through this ugly hat phase, it's over, thank God.

Streeeeeeaker!

We have our own little streaker.  Clark is obsessed with taking his clothes off, ALL day long!  I can not, for the life of me, keep him dressed.  And you KNOW what he is doing once he gets his clothes off, yep...saying hello to his little friend.  If I leave the room even for a second he is ripping off his shirt and pants...then DIAPER!  I have to say, it is pretty funny to see him running down the hallway laughing his head off.  I just hate the constant redressing, hand washing, wasting of diapers.  I think I am going to invest in some duct tape.

Happy Birthday Mom...and Grandma!

Happy Birthday Mom!
I feel so lucky to have a Mom like you.  You are always there when I need someone to talk to.  You have such a big heart, and kindred spirit.  I have really missed living by you.  It is hard not having you close by to go shopping with, or to share the boys with you.  You are misses more than you know.  I have loved watching you become a Grandma to the boys.  The excitement you get when you buy them something you know they will love, or seeing new pictures.  The laughter in your voice when I tell you a story...and you say, that is what it is like being a mom.  I have a new found appreciation for you, and what you did for me (and all my brothers and sisters).  Thanks Mom!
I am so glad you were able to come out and help when the boys were born.  The boys love you so much, including Jason.  We wish we could've been with you to celebrate your birthday, and help you eat your cake.  We miss and love you so much!
