Flashback Friday-Cell Phone Pics

I found some old cell phone pictures on my computer, and I wanted to share.
I miss my tiny little babies.
Harry in Nana's bathtub.
Clark, and his sun glasses fetish.
Newly born baby Clark.
Baby Harry, always so serious.
Squishy sleepy Harry.  I miss his chubby baby face.
My boys.
Harry's first Halloween.
Again with the sun glasses...silly Clark.
Happy Harry
Pouty Harry.
Noisy boys.  I love this picture of them.

Flashback Friday-Little Clark

i think it is a little too big
July 30, 2007
I was going through some old pictures online today, and I stumbled across this oldish picture of Clark.
What a chubby little Tuna he was.  What I love the most about this picture is, he still makes this same exact face, although its less chubby.  I love that pouty lip.  He really was such a good baby, always active, but a good good boy.  I am glad I am having another baby, I miss this stage of tininess, before they learn to talk back and yell at me, and the messes aren't quite so big.
I've been having a hard week.  Nothing bad, just a really tired Mommy and very challenging kids.  It's nice to be able to look back and remind myself that not everyday was such a pain in my *ahem- behind.  As hard, messy, and tiring as it can be, I am so glad I made the decision to be a Mom.  I am thankful that we were able to have children.  I am thankful that I am able to stay home with them ...although I am sure if someone would've offered me a job this week -outside the home- I would've taken it in a heartbeat.
I love my boys, and I am so happy we are finally going to have a little girl...
maybe now I won't feel so out numbered.

Flashback Friday- Clark's Curly Mullet, and a Little Fatty Nugget

Today I am mourning the fact that my cute little baby boys are growing up...
way too fast.
Clark is all boy, a terror of a little boy, causing mischief and messes where ever he goes.  And Harry is a mean little toddler, who is always ripping up my books and waking me up at 4am every morning.
Where did all the sweetness go???
I miss Clark's curly little mullet.  All those sweet little curls and ringlets.  His hair isn't very curly here in Virginia, and I think it is one of the things I miss the most about living in Hawaii.
I felt like his curls were so much apart of his personality.
Maybe this summer when the heat and humidity comes back, so will his curls.
Here he is blowing out some bubbles.  His hair was so long, I never wanted to cut it or trim it.
We used to tease him that he looked like Richard Simmons.
Here is my chubilicious Harry, he is about 4 1/2 months here.
He was the biggest and cuddliest baby ever.
He is still very large and in charge, but all those cute chubby rolls are missing.  I remember he was so heavy to carry around, I could only hold him for short periods at a time before my arms would feel like they were going to fall off.
Clapping is so boring Mom.
I miss my favorite little fatty nugget.

They grow up way too fast.  Good thing I am having another.
I hope the next one has really curly hair, or is deliciously cubby.

Flashback Friday- Jason in the Honor Guard

What??? She's blogging again? I AM!
Well, I am trying, and I figure I gotta start somewhere.
Why not start with some cool old pictures from when Jason was in the Honor Guard,
the first time we lived in Virginia 2001-2004.
This is Jason marching in some parade (I don't remember which).  We were down in Ocean City, Maryland.  I remember it was so hot, and I felt so bad that he had to wear his big stuffy uniform.
Right after the parade, I was making the boys pose for pictures.
This one is from Jason's friend.  I'm not sure when it was taken, but they are at Arlington Cemetery for a funeral.  I think he looks so serious in this picture.  It must have been hard to be at the funerals, to not show any emotion, I heard some were pretty sad and emotional.
I know Jay loved that he got to serve in the Honor Guard.  It was such a fun and special experience for both of us, a great way to start our Coast Guard lives.

Flashback Friday- I miss Hawaii

Clark and Harry
January 22, 2010
Can you believe this is where we were a year ago today?
Walking the beaches, in the winter, just because we could.
I wish we had a couple grand lying around so we could hop on a plane with the boys,
and enjoy the beach again.  Enjoy the bright sun, and warm breeze.
I know they would both be so excited.  Clark doesn't talk about it, but I know he misses certain things about Hawaii.  Sometimes when he gets on his bus for school, he seems disappointed, looking for his other school friends. And he always get so excited when he sees the ocean, he is my little water baby.
As much as I am loving having a real winter here in Virginia, with snow and cold rain,
it is hard being stuck inside so much.  We are not used to it.
I never thought I would be one of those people begging for Summer to come, and complaining about the cold weather, but I am counting down the days until Spring.
So we can go back to the beach.

Flashback Friday- Deimler Family

Yesterday my Gramps emailed me some old family pictures.  Aren't they great?!
I think they were taken around 1987.
This was our old house in Goodyear, Arizona.
I loved our little twin palm trees.  By the time our family move away, in 1994, they were so tall.
I can't get over how much BJ reminds me of Harry, all chubby and cute.
I love this picture.  Left to right, Emma, BJ and April (Me).
If I was guessing, I would say Emma is pouting because she was sad Gramps and Granny were leaving. It was (and still is) always so hard to say goodbye to our grandparents.  I still cry when we leave their house after a vacation, and I am 30 years old.  BJ is so huge, and once again totally reminds me so much of Harry, especially the no pants part, lol.  And there is my always cheesy smile, that never went away did it :)

Flashback Friday- Hiking Timp

7-18-10
Mike, Jay, John, Danny and Jake
Back in July, when we were home with our family, Jay, his Dad, and brothers went hiking,
to conquer Mt. Timpanogos!
They left really late at night, and hiked all night, so they could enjoy the sunrise in the morning.
Here are the guys close near the top;
Mike, Jason, John, Danny and Jake.
Ut County
A view from the top, Utah County and Utah Lake in the distance.
I sure wish I would've at least tried to go.

Flashback Friday- Jason and Clark

June 24, 2010
(More pictures from Jason's camera.)
Jason and Clark
Jason and Clark at the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi, Utah.
I couldn't go on the trip, because I was stuck at home with Harry, who had the barfs.
Clark had a wonderful time playing with his cousins, and having a special outing with his Dad.
Clark, Maddie, and Joci
Clark, Joci, and Maddie.
Clark loved hanging out with his cousins so much.
When ever he sees a girl with blond hair, he will ask for Maddie.
(I am not sure why he always wants to bite his nails, nervous habit he inherited for me.)
Clark and John
Jason and John
Showing off their mad acting skills,
they totally deserved a part in Jurassic Park.
Jason and Clark
Fun memories, for Daddy and Clark.
Two of my best boys.

Flashback Friday

Jason hugging a giant pistachio, cause he is a dork.
July 3, 2010
I found Jason's camera from our trip this last summer, so the next few Friday's will all be his pictures.
Here he is in New Mexico, hugging a giant pistachio.
Don't even ask me why.
Maybe because he loves food so much,
maybe it's because he wasn't hugged much as a child,
maybe it's because he is a dork...yep that must be it.
A big lovable dork...
who always makes me laugh.
Thank you, I sure love ya Jay.

Flashback Friday

I really think a flashback Friday post is kinda pointless, considering this entire month is going to be a flashback of sorts, while I catch up on our vacation/moving pictures.
But I wanted to share this cute picture of the Nugget.
Harry
June 15, 2010
This was taken at the Bubba Gump's restaurant in Waikiki.  He was crying and crying waiting for his food, so the nice waiter brought him this balloon.  He couldn't have cared less about the balloon, he wanted the string!  I can't believe how much Harry has been growing, emotionally and physically, he is going to be two in just a few days!!!  I think the move, while challenging in a good way, was a little hard on him. He had some rough days, and got sick a lot, but he seems to be getting back to his normal self.  He is still so young, but already he has had to deal with so much, I am so proud of him.

ps. I miss his hair.
I recently got it cut (don't worry, pictures soon, I have to go in order) and it is disgustingly short.

Flashback Friday

Happy Flashback Friday.
Just an afternoon at the park, with my chunky little nugget,  May 2009.
He was not happy that I took him out of his comfy car seat and set him on the pokey grass.
But once I found him some sticks, he was happy.
Looks likes his obsession with sticks started earlier than I remember :)

Flashback Friday

Way way back in May 2008.
At Ohana Night, put on by Kahalu'u ward.
There was fun carnival types games, tasty potluck treats, and a face painting booth.

Clark and I being kitties.  He wasn't too sure of the paint on our noses.
It is hard to imagine him being this little!!
Cute little chubby, kitty face.

Flashback Friday

Today is going to be a long Flashback Friday, with LOTS of pictures.  We have been spending a lot of time planning our family vacation, and what we want to do this summer before we move.  It has been such long since we were on the mainland for anything other than a wedding or big family event, we can go and do whatever we want this time.
I have been remembering my last trip to New Mexico to see my grandparents...
I went with my brother BJ, and Sabrina, Laura, and her friend Megan and my parents.  Clark had just barely turned 1 year old, and I was newly (and sickly) pregnant with Harry.  It was so fun!
I am hoping and hoping that we can manage to go this summer, it will be Harry's first time, and Jason's first time in almost 5 years.
Here are a few highlights from our trip, March 2008.
Clark playing outside.
He loved all the extra space.  My grandparents live out in the country, Clark could run and play where ever he wanted, there was so much dirt to play in :)
Sitting in Gramps' tractor.
Gramps and Clark enjoying the morning sun.
Uncle BJ teaching Clark all about the gun, Clark was a little too interested.
Up a tree with Auntie Laura.
We always used to climb this tree as kids.  We have so many pictures in it.  It was special for me to have Clark climb up in it.
Clark and Granny.  I miss this squishy face Clark used to make.
He reminds me so much of Harry in this picture.
One morning we all took turns shooting off Gramps' old gun.
Even Clark got a turn, although not really... it was just for show.
I promised Jason he can take Clark shooting for his first time, when he is 21 :)

Clark in Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico, all at the same time!
I LOVE this little picture of him!
On the way home we took a little detour to Four Corners.  I had only been there once, when I was really young, it was so fun to go again.
Clark looks so big, standing there unbelievably still, and sort-of proud.  It was a fun moment to share together, and a great family vacation (even if Daddy couldn't come with us).

Flashback Friday

My little Harry.
This picture was taken 7-20-2009.
It is kinda blurry and crappy, because it was taken with my cell phone.
Remember when you couldn't take pictures on your cell phone?
Remember when no one had cell phones...
I did a little editing :)
I love his little serious face.

Flashback Friday

I miss little Clark!
He was so much easier to contain, when he was just a little nugget :)
He has changed so much, this was taken 2 years ago, yet he is still the curious, active, little monster he always has been.  It makes me so sad to think that I will never see this little Clark again.  It is so hard to watch him grow-up and change.  Watching wonderful, HAPPY moments pass by, knowing that they will never be exactly like that again.  There will be different joys, different memories, and  I will love them just as much...but then he will grow, and change a little more, and they will be gone too.  This is all sounding  more sad than I intended it too...
Mommy is getting the "first baby going to school blues".
The time just goes by way too fast!
I just don't want to forget any moment of his little life.
The laughing and crying, the kissing and cuddling, the TALKING and playing.
And the same goes for Harry!  My precious little Harry.
They are my heart.
Clark is starting school on Monday.  I only have two more days left of my little boy, before he goes off to the big bad world of PRE-SCHOOL.
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this....
I will just miss my little Clark.

Flashback Friday

I have been looking forward to this weeks flash back, all week!
Remember this picture?!

My not-so-little Harry, at Ko Olina Beach.
I forgot how deliciously chunky and plumpy he was.
This was taken in May 2009, so he was around 7 months.
I found this picture on my computer the other day, and Jason and I literally laughed for 10 straight minutes. Someday when I get a house with a fireplace, I want to blow up this picture and hang it above the mantel. Probably one of my favorite pictures of Harry, of all time.

Flashback Friday

Little JASON!
I am guessing he is about 3 or 4 years old here, 1980.
The year I was born!
Looks like Clark's same little nose, and mischievous eyes, even the smile kinda looks the same.
He sure was a little cutie,
I guess he's not too bad now either ;)

Flashback Friday

In honor of Clark's birthday week, here is another one of my FAVORITE baby pictures of him.
Taken by his very talented Auntie Ray (check out here website here)!
I feel like it captures so much of who is was, and still is.
So alert, and curious, and a bit silly (with all that drool).

Flashback Friday

Hugs and Kisses
Awe... they were so tiny and chubby.
Clark is about 21 months, and Harry was about 2 months in this picture.
I love how sweet Clark looks.
I know it looks like Clark is choking Harry, but he was just trying to give him a hug.
And little Harry is not the hugging type.
Little did I know, this little scene of brotherly affection would become a daily occurrence in our house.
However these days I don't assume Clark's innocence like I used to...
I know he is trying to choke his brother, or at least make him cry.

This picture has always made me laugh!
It totally looks like Clark is giving Harry mouth to mouth,
he was really just trying to give him sweet little kisses.
Harry did not have a lot of choice in the matter, so he just tried to be as still as possible.
Clark may torture his little brother,
A LOT,
but I know he really does love him.
(And I can't wait to show him this picture, as proof!)
